Aniki Ken, Day in the life of Ken Takahashi: August 2006

Mayday! mayday!

After the Seattle event we all flew on Alaska Airline. Me and Andy Yen sat at row 18 and the others like Jim, Alex, Will requested the emergancy rows. prior to taking off I told Will "Better read that instruction booklet really well! I don't wanna die in flames!" I think I spoke to soon.

Just when we were landing, as soon as the wheels touch the ground, smoke started to bellow out from the seat right in front of Andy! Me and Andy were first trying to recognize the smell then we started to blow the smoke away. but it kept on smoking! Soon, we hear voices saying "smoke! smoke!" and everyone started to press the attended button. next thing we knew the flight attended yelled "evacuate!" at first me and Andy thought "oh shit... what did we start?"

I had to jump out from the side wing. Andy said "how often do we have a chance like this?" and opted to jump out from the opening with the slide. I think none of us was really taking any of this serously.

Alex & Fred were helping people off the left wing.... HEROS!!!! thats what they get for sitting in the emergancy row.

only fatality was that we lost Fred's bag of chips.... :( RIP

Formula D Seattle

Formula D round 5. was held at Evergreen Raceway in Seattle. it was a great course! weather was perfect, the people were all friendly!
We started off the day with a drivers meeting.....
